Nomadic Civilization Center in Issyk-Kul hosts Night of Museums 2022 event

AKIPRESS.COM - The Nomadic Civilization Center named after Kurmanjan Datka located in Ornok village of Issyk-Kul region hosted an event dedicated to the international campaign Night of Museums 2022.

First deputy governor of the Issyk-Kul region Dinara Akmatova, honorary residents of the Issyk-Kul region, museum workers and villagers participated. The event was titled The Centuries-long History of Nomads - the Heritage of the Future.

The event showcased the tradition of honoring mothers "Baibiche kotoruu" widely spread in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. The tradition was demonstrated at the 1st Nomad Games.

A woman who brought up all their children can enjoy the tradition. The woman is seated on a special rug and her daughter-in-law, neighbors and other women of the village lift her while she sits on the carpet. 

The event also included a concert and interactive master classes.
