Women grow corn to build amusement park in home village in Jalal-Abad region

AKIPRESS.COM - A group of 10 women in the village of Tendik, Jalal-Abad region, are growing corn to build amusement park.

Family of one of women provided 70 ares for cultivation of corn.

Women, former classmates, decided to make a park, since they have to travel to the nearby town of Tash-Kumyr as there is no any recreation facilities in their home village.

"Our village belongs to the town of Tash-Kumyr. There are 4 villages next to us, but there is no a single park or even alley for people. One of our classmates came up with this idea and we supported. Mira has asked a field from her famiy, another woman provided corn seeds. We provided funds for tilling and sowing," Rahat Suyunbaeva said.

"We have many other problems apart from park. We intend to address them also leasing the fields to farmers," Mira Cholponkulova stated.

Construction of the park and a mini-cafe will bring revenues for the local budget, she said.

Rural municipality governor Uzakbak Asrakulov promised all possible support to the women.

More than 4,000 people or around 800 households live in Tendik village. In case the park is built, it may be visited by people from nearby Kashkulak, Chuyut-Sai and Kuduk-Sai villages.
