AKIPRESS.COM - A photo exhibition on the occasion of the 80th jubilee of the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, film director Gennadiy Bazarov opened at the Kurmanjan Datka Nomadic Civilization Center in Issyk-Kul region.
The event was attended by cinematographers, folk artists, film and culture industry figures. The photo exhibition collected the best works by famous photographers of Kyrgyzstan.
Gennadiy Bazarov is the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, film director, prose writer, graphic artist. He was born on May 14, 1942 in At-Bashy, Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan.
Movies directed by him include Materinskoe Pole, Ambush, Kanibek, Zagovor, Pervyy, etc.
In 1991, he was awarded a title of the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2006, he became the owner of the prize and the statuette with the title Man of the Year. In 2003, he was awarded the Order of Manas of 3rd degree.
