AKIPRESS.COM - Aitbek Mursaliev, a resident of Naryn who hosts foreign tourists for over 20 years on the shore of Song-Kol lake, built houses from stones and bottles for guests.
The climate near lake does not allow to construct a building from bricks, while stones do not cause humidity, he shared.
"Now I'm building a cafe for foreign tourists. I use not only stones, but also bottles which vacationers leave after themselves. I'm going to decorate everything inside," he said.
Mursaliev noted that he has no official permission to carry out construction work on the pasture. "Sometimes they come to me and threaten with demolition, but I explain them that I am not only hosting tourists, but I am also cleaning the area around. For example, I collected bottles and made a floor out of them and covered with particleboard. I remove other garbage left by campers who come on their own as well. I also water the pasture. I wish the stone houses would stay for future generations. We host foreigners, mainly French citizens. My wife is my assistant," he said.
Besides France, tourists also come from Russia and Korea. The family has drilled a well and artesian water comes out of it.
According to statistics, Naryn region registered 57 tourist firms, but only 28 of them are working.
