AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on foreign policy issues Abdulaziz Khafizovich Kamilov, who arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan to participate in the Turkmen-Uzbek political consultations.

During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Foreign Policy Affairs, as well as the Acting Foreign Minister of the friendly country, exchanged views on priority issues of bilateral and regional partnership.

A separate topic of the meeting was the prospects for expanding Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan in July this year, and a solid package of bilateral documents signed following the visit.

At the end of the meeting, having noted with satisfaction the high level of interstate relations, the head of Turkmenistan and his guests expressed confidence in the further successful development of the Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue, built on the principles of mutual respect, equality and consideration of mutual interests.
