Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan advises citizens to refrain from travel to Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz authorities have not received information from the Tajik authorities about changes in the order of entry/exit of citizens of Kyrgyzstan to and from Tajikistan as of September 30, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said after several cases of denied entry to Tajikistan for citizens of Kyrgyzstan at Dushanbe international airport.

"In such situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends citizens of Kyrgyzstan refrain from any travel to or transit through Tajikistan until clarification of circumstances and reasons of denied entry to Tajikistan," the statement said.

Kyrgyz citizens are recommended to call the hotline of the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Tajikistan in case violation of their rights.
