AKIPRESS.COM - Delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan held talks in Batken on October 1.

The talks were held in Korgoncho area, Kara-Bak rural municipality.

The delegation of Kyrgyzstan was led by Batken district governor Uchkunbek Jorobaev. The delegation of Tajikistan was led by Isfara district governor Bahovaddin Bahodurzoda.

Representatives of law enforcement and defense agencies partook in the meeting as well.

They discussed border related issues, prevention of unsanctions construction projects in disputed border areas, prevention of provocations, etc.

The situation in border areas of Batken region is described as stable.
