AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev met with the leadership of the Alat FEZ and Baku International Commercial Sea Port during the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan, UzA reported.

Prospects for establishing investment-transport and logistics cooperation based on the joint use of resources and capabilities of the port and the FEZ of Azerbaijan were discussed during the talks.

In particular, the sides considered enhancing investment partnership with an emphasis on the implementation of joint projects in the production of food, leather, footwear, textile and other high-value-added products in Alat FEZ with the organization of further exports to the markets of the EU countries, CIS and other neighboring states. Prospects for enhancing investment cooperation in these areas were discussed as well.
