AKIPRESS.COM - Unstable weather is expected on January 9-10 and January 11 at night, Kyrgyz weather agency Kyrgyzhydromet said.
Snowfalls are expected all over the country with sticking of wet snow on wires and trees, roads covered with snow, ice and snowdrifts. In some areas, the western wind is expected to increase to 15-20 m/s.
On January 10-11, air temperature is expected to drop:
- in Chui region to -10…-15° at night and to -5…-10° in daytime
- in Talas region to -13…-18° at night and to -7…-12°in daytime
- in valley zones of Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken regions to -5…-10° at night and to -3…-8° in daytime
- in Issyk-Kul region to -6…-11°at night and to -3…-8° in daytime
- in Naryn region to -15…-20°at night and to -12…-17°in daytime
- in foothills to -12…-17°at night and to -8…-13° in daytime
- in high mountain areas to -21…-26° at night and to -15…-20° in daytime
- in Suusamyr valley to -22…-27° at night and to -16…-21° in daytime.
Further decrease in air temperature is expected on January 12-13:
- in Chui and Talas regions to -20…-25°at night and to -14…-19° in daytime
- in valley zones of Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken regions and Issy-Kul basin to -12…-17°at night and to -9…-14° in daytime
- in Naryn region to -26…-31° at night and to -17…-22° in daytime
- in foothills to -22…-27°at night and to -15…-20° in daytime
- in high mountain areas to -30…-35° at night and to -23…-28°in daytime
- in Suusamyr valley to -33…-38°at night and to -23…-28° in daytime.
Such abnormally cold air temperatures will complicate cattle grazine, work of transport, telecommunications, power and utilities companies.
