AKIPRESS.COM - The Uzbekistan – Singapore Business Forum kicked off in Singapore on the eve of the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Singapore, UzA reported.

The forum, aimed at the comprehensive strengthening of business ties, serves as a platform for further developing economic cooperation, especially for coordinating the issues of attracting investments and organizing frequent meetings with representatives of business circles of the two countries.

"I am sure that the forthcoming high-level visit will open a new page in the history of our cooperation. We are planning to use the opportunities of this high-profile event to the fullest, filling its agenda with promising and highly effective agreements and contracts. We intend to establish close contacts with Singapore partners to achieve this goal", Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov said.

Singapore highly appreciated the pace and effectiveness of the socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan, and the possibility of a radical expansion of investment, trade, and economic cooperation.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Singapore from January 16 to January 18.
