AKIPRESS.COM - The European Parliament delegation for the relations with Central Asia, chaired by Member of the European Parliament Fulvio Martusciello will pay a visit to Uzbekistan on 3-5 April 2023.

Jointly with the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan the delegation will hold in Tashkent the 16th EU-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee and will have meetings with several Uzbek officials.

Moreover, the European Parliament delegation will travel to Nukus and Muynak, to assess the current situation in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, also following the protests in July 2022 and as regards the environmental disaster of the Aral Sea.The European Parliament delegation will also deliver a message to support democratic reforms and the promotion of rule of law, human rights and accountability.
