Citizen of Tajikistan convicted for propaganda of terrorism in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - A 26-year-old citizen of Tajikistan was convicted by Saryarka district court of Astana for propaganda of terrorism, the anti-terrorist center of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan said.

The convict was indoctrinated by members of international terrorist organizations, according to the center. Then he "began on his own to impose on the believers the ideas of participating in "armed jihad" on the side of the militants." He also sent funds to terrorists, the center said.

The Tajik citizen was found guilty by the court and sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison under articles on propaganda and financing of terrorism, vlast.kz reported.
