AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation consisting of representatives of Uzbekistan's think tanks visited Rome, Italy, on April 13-14. They held a series of meetings and dialogues aimed at presenting the reforms implemented in the country and further developing bilateral cooperation, UzA reported.
Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center Eldor Tulyakov and Director of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Obid Hakimov on the first day of the visit held meetings with the leadership of the Italian Vision & Global Trends International Institute, the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI) and the Research Institute of Italians – Eurispes, providing political, economic and social research.
During the talks, Tulyakov noted the changes taking place in Uzbekistan in recent years, in particular, the content of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 and the monitoring of State programs adopted within it, the main directions of the Center's activities in this process.
According to the Development Strategy Center, presentations were made for Italian politicians and analysts about the renewed Constitution of Uzbekistan and the main amendments.
In turn, the Italian partners showed interest in the socio-economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan. In particular, Uzbekistan's efforts to strengthen and develop friendly relations with the world community, especially neighboring countries, based on cooperation, mutual support, peace and harmony, were highly appreciated.
The sides agreed to further develop the cooperation between the think tanks of the two countries while continuously analyzing the ongoing processes in the social, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres in Uzbekistan.
Head of the Development Strategy Center E. Tulyakov, on the first day of the visit held a discussion with Italian translator Doriana Somma on the issue of translating into Italian the infographic pamphlet "Renewed Constitution" prepared by the Center and dedicated to the constitutional reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan.
D. Somma is a translator who translated into Italian the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 and contributed to the presentation about this publication.
