AKIPRESS.COM - The dismissed oil workers returned from Astana to Zhanaozen last night and intend to continue working on the spot with the commission under the leadership of the head of Mangistau region Nurlan Nogaev, Vlast reports.

"Head of the region initiated a commission, which includes representatives of the Minister of Energy, KazMunayGas, the prosecutor's office and other departments. There were always only people from KazMunayGas in Astana, and there will be people from different departments here. We will also involve a couple of people from other unions in the region. There are more people from the Burgylau enterprise. We hope that the commission will be more detailed, as it has more rights," said one of the workers, Yesenzhan Abdirakhimuly.

The workers plan to prove "what was wrong with the tender and all the examples of injustice", according to him. They will also continue to put forward their demands and seek an investigation.

The workers demanded the participation of the government in the negotiations and the solution of their issue in Astana last week. They stated that there was no progress in the negotiations with representatives of Kazmunaigas JSC and, in general, expressed their dissatisfaction with the composition of the commission.
