AKIPRESS.COM - A large fire broke out at the shipyard for the production of boats and yachts, located in the port of Antalya, according to DHA.

The object where the fire occurred contained chemicals inside. The sounds of explosions were heard from time to time. Workers were evacuated from the shipyard.

The fire was extinguished from the ground and with the help of a fire helicopter. Firefighters took measures to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby businesses located in the port.

Black clouds of smoke were visible from various areas of the resort town.

The fire was extinguished after 3 hours.

A possible cause of the fire is a problem with electrical wiring. There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
