Shavkat Mirziyoyev presents his election program

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented his election on May 30. He outlined five goals that he intends to achieve by 2030 during the congress of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the party's press service reported.

The first goal is creating the most suitable conditions for the realization of each person's potential. It is planned to reach 100% coverage of children with pre-school education by 2030, create additional 2.5 million student places in schools, open boarding schools in all districts and cities, introduce a health insurance system. 

This goal also provides for a creation of the National Agency for Social Protection, construction of additional 1 million units of affordable housing, reformation of the system of external labor migration.

The second goal of the program involves ensuring sustainable economic growth for the population. Uzbekistan should achieve an increase in GDP per capita from the current $2,200 to $4,000 by 2030, double the volume of exports, bringing it to $45 billion a year, increase the capacity of renewable energy sources to 25,000 MW.

The third goal of the program is preservation of water resources and the environment. It is planned to transfer all sown areas to water-saving technologies, to increase forest areas in Aral Sea region from 1.6 million to 2.3 million hectares, to provide 100% coverage of the population with services for the collection of solid household waste.

The fourth goal provides for the rule of law and "organization of public administration in the service of the people". Measures such as the complete transfer of public services to electronic form, ensuring the rule of law, increasing the independence and fairness of the courts are envisaged.

The fifth goal aims to bring practical cooperation in Central Asia to a new qualitative level in various areas, including the rational use of water resources, the development of transport corridors, the provision of support to Uzbek citizens abroad and the creation of necessary conditions for their active participation in the development of Uzbekistan.
