AKIPRESS.COM - South Korea donated over $20 million to Uzbekistan for projects to green cities, develop a phytosanitary service, and open parliament, UzA reported.
The government of Uzbekistan and the KOICA signed agreements on three new projects worth $20.4 million, which will be implemented from 2023 to 2028.
A project to build capacity for greening forests and cities based on smart technologies in Tashkent will be implemented between KOICA and the Forestry Agency of Uzbekistan in 2023-2028.
The second project will aim to improve the electronic parliament system and create a real-time broadcasting system for the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament.
The third project will strengthen the capacity of the phytosanitary service and improve border checkpoints for plant quarantine in Uzbekistan.
