Investigative work to be intensified in Mongolia as part of Wasp operation

AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Mongolia declared 2023 the "Year to Combat Corruption".

It outlined five "W" operations to combat corruption, including Whistleblowing operation, Wiping-out operation, Wasp operation, Wealth operation, and Wide-Open operation, Montsame reports.

In particular, Wasp operation aims to bring overseas fugitives back to the jury within the framework of international agreements and Mongolian laws and to hold them responsible, to expand the external cooperation of the judiciary and law enforcement agencies in the field of mutual legal assistance, and to protect investors' interests.

Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Nyambaatar Khishgee presented some of the measures undertaken as part of the Wasp operation during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 14.

The Prime Minister instructed the ministry to intensify investigative work.
