Residents of Tyup repair two bridges damaged by mudslides
AKIPRESS.COM - Two bridges in Balbai rural municipality in Tyup district of Issyk-Kul region are currently undergoing repairs.
These bridges sustained damage due to mudslides that occurred in 2022, head of Balbai rural municipality Maksat Bakasov said.
"Every year, following heavy rainfall in Balbai rural municipality, mudflows cause damage to two local bridges. A budget of 356,000 soms was allocated for their complete repair, which enabled the purchase of necessary construction materials. Currently, one bridge has already been repaired by combined efforts of locals, and work on repairing the second bridge has started," Bakasov stated.
