The sides discussed issues of scientific, educational and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and this world-famous institution.

Considering the status and world influence of Al-Azhar, much attention was paid to development of cooperation in the field of teaching and propaganda of moderate Islam, religious tolerance and fight against extremism.
