Managers of IT companies from Japan's Nagaoka travel to Kyrgyzstan for potential workers

AKIPRESS.COM - The Japanese delegation led by Nagaoka Mayor Tatsunobu Isoda visited Bishkek on October 11.

The delegation included representatives of the Department of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Commece, senior officials of leading IT companies.

Nagaoka is interested in development of information technologies, Tatsunobu Isoda said.

A special attention is paid to this sector for the last 7 years. The Japanese delegation intends to recruit young specialists from Kyrgyzstan for development of IT industry. 

According to Prof. Shouhei Yano, representative of IntegrAI, Nagaoka is the most suitable city for those who want to come to Japan to work, study or start business.

Shouhei Yano, Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, said that the city administration provided support to startups of graduates.

"Our students are opening their own companies in Nagaoka. In such cases, the city provided significant support," he said, inviting Kyrgyz students to study in the "city of fireworks."

The Executive Director of Ohtsuka wood mold works, Shinya Yashiro, also announced the employment opportunities for Kyrgyzstanis in the company.

"We are a manufacturing company. The use of IT is really underdeveloped in our country. Maybe specialists from Kyrgyzstan want to work at our enterprise or, while staying here, get involved in work," Snihya Yashiro said.

IB System Co., Ltd also expressed interest in recruitment of students and young specialists. Executive Director Shigeru Wakakuwa suggested models of cooperation, including student exchange programs.

Around 260,000 people live in Nagaoka. The city has developed industry, semi-conductor factories. The companies have good experience in export of their technologies in food industry.

"We want to see your young people working in our enterprises. We are producing the best fireworks in Japan," Mayor Tatsunobu Isoda said.
