AKIPRESS.COM - Russia and Mongolia agreed to begin work on mutual recognition of the status of an authorized economic operator, which will simplify customs procedures, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Victoria Abramchenko announced following the intergovernmental Russian-Mongolian commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
This mechanism will create "simplified customs corridors," she said.
According to Abramchenko, deliveries between companies with the status of an authorized economic operator can be carried out by the Russian Federal Customs Service without any intervention from customs inspectors.
"We agreed to develop a bilateral international treaty," she added.
