
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa received President of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, Germany, Martin Schulz on the occasion of the Foundation's 30th anniversary in Mongolia on October 24.
President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa expressed gratitude to the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, one of Germany's oldest political foundations, for its support for democratic reforms in Mongolia and active cooperation in enhancing citizen participation, strengthening civil society organizations, and promoting the participation of women and youth.
He also expressed confidence that the Foundation would continue collaborating with Mongolia in fortifying social justice, parliamentary democracy, peace and security, and women's empowerment.
President Martin Schulz of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation said that Mongolia and the Mongolian people have many reasons to look to the future with optimism. He also remarked on the optimism, open-mindedness, and self-confidence of the Mongolian youth he met during his visit and expressed his readiness to further cooperate with Mongolia to expand the Foundation's activities.
