AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian Customs General Administration provided information on special operations and internal control carried out by customs, intelligence and police, GoGoMongolia reports.

Customs General Administration detected 1,578 violations and tax evasion in the fight against illegal goods that are prohibited or restricted from entering the border of Mongolia in ten months of 2023.

32 of these actions were criminous. 2,630 people tried to smuggle in 5 types of narcotic drugs and psychoactive substances by 17 times of actions. 

People attempted to cross the border with 4,591 grams of gold bars by 2 times of actions, with historical heritages by 6 times of actions, and with 375 kg of chemicals by 1 time of action.

Mongolia has 1,700 CCTV in 10 ports bordering Russia, 13 ports bordering China, 1 airport, and 160 control zones in 24 ports.
