AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation led by the former Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, founder of several investment and industrial holdings Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, accompanied by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, visited Bukhara, UzA reports.

Members of the delegation got acquainted with the activity of Bukhoro Agro?luster LC? in Bukhara.

The company has established milk processing and packaging. With an investment of $6.2 million, a modern complex was built on an abandoned site, and equipment imported from Italy and Russia was installed. The company, which was opened in 2021, processes 22 thousand tons of milk per year, from which more than 40 types of products are produced, such as kefir, milk, cheese, yogurt, cream, and sour cream. It employs 150 residents.

The increase in work volumes and profits expanded the cluster’s activity. New facilities were built on the territory of the complex, and a modern laboratory was launched to determine the productivity of land plots. It is equipped with modern German technologies capable of selecting more than forty soil composition indicators and about ten water composition indicators.

The level of salinization of agricultural fields in Bukhara region is higher than in other regions. Soil testing is essential to achieve productivity. In this laboratory, the soil’s chemical composition is studied, making it possible to determine the need of plants for mineral and organic fertilizers.

The data generated here will be uploaded to the Agro Smart Map Uz platform. Based on this information, landowners will receive the necessary agrotechnical recommendations.

The delegation got acquainted with the historical and cultural monuments of ancient Bukhara. A tour of the Ark Fortress, the Poi-Kalon complex, the shopping arcades Toki Sarrofon, Toki Telpakfurushon, Toki Zargaron, the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of our ancestors, as well as the large-scale transformations carried out in the region, made a great impression on the guests. The work of Bukhara embroiderers, goldsmiths, and blacksmiths was met with delight and genuine interest.

It is planned to build a modern hotel complex in Bukhara with the participation of Qatari investments. Plans for implementing this project were also discussed in the presence of Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani.
