AKIPRESS.COM - A Japanese–Mongolian project in Ulaanbaatar conducted a medical logistics drone flight on November 13, as part of plans to revolutionize the transportation of blood in the city, AirMed & Rescue said.
The 4.75km test flight was conducted between the National Center for Blood Transfusion and the Mongolia–Japan Hospital of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS).
The aim of the project is to implement a regular service using the medical logistics drones to bypass Ulaanbaatar's heavy traffic congestion.
Similar test flights were conducted earlier this month in Glasgow, UK, as part of the CAELUS drone project.
