UNESCO will hold its main event in Samarkand
AKIPRESS.COM - The proposal of Uzbekistan to hold the 43rd session in 2025 in Samarkand, announced at the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Assembly, was supported. An appropriate decision has been made on this issue.
The UNESCO session will be organized outside of Paris for the first time in the last forty years.
"This is a diplomatic success," said Simona-Mirela Miculescu, Chairman of the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Assembly, commenting on the decision.
