"It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the earthquake that occurred in the provinces of Gansu and Qinghai and claimed the lives of many people. On behalf of the members of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic and on my own behalf, I express condolences to the families and friends of the victims, people of China, and also wish a speedy recovery to those affected by the natural disaster," Speaker Shakiev said.
