
AKIPRESS.COM - The first round of the Korea-Mongolia EPA Negotiations took place in Seoul on December 18-20, the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia reported.
The negotiations were attended by the Mongolian delegation, led by Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Economic Development Bathu Idesh, and by the Korean delegation, led by Director of Free Trade Agreement Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Chang-yong.
The parties emphasized that the agreement aims to increase exports of value-added products and increase foreign exchange earnings, reduce tariff and non-tariff barriers on both sides, facilitate trade and simplify customs clearance.
The sides discussed trade, investment and other areas of economic cooperation of mutual interest during the three-day talks.
