
AKIPRESS.COM - The opening ceremony of the Seoul Youth Volunteer Program was held on December 20, Montsame reports. A total of 40 volunteers appointed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government will work in Mongolia for three months.
The volunteer activities will be organized jointly with students of two secondary schools and universities, Project Manager in Mongolia G. Shinetulga stated. A team of volunteers cooperated in developing guides on climate change adaptation and global citizenship education, creating video content, organizing community campaigns, improving learning environments, and volunteering in other collaboration opportunities.
During the three-month stay in Mongolia, the volunteers will work with students and conduct research to write a textbook.
40 volunteers from Seoul and Ulaanbaatar will work in school No. 60 of Khan-Uul district, the National University of Mongolia (NUM), the Mongolia International University (MIU), the laboratory of school No. 23 in the first round. They will also cooperate with students from five institutions, including the Department of Education of Chingeltei District.
In addition to exchanging experiences with Mongolian volunteers, Korean volunteers collaborate with the Lantuun Dohio NGO, which works towards promoting and ensuring child protection. Volunteer work in the Magic Country 1 and 2 Branch will be organized.
