
AKIPRESS.COM - Start of construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is expected in 2024, National Investment Agency Deputy Director Jalyn Jeenaliev told a press conference on December 28.
Modernization of Manas Airtport and construction of the ring road in Uzgen, construction of 1.5 GW solar power plant will begin next year.
"If all planned projects start in 2024, then Kyrgyzstan may receive investments from $7 billion to $9 billion by 2026," he added.
The portfolio of investment projects of the National Investment Agency includes 68 projects for 106 billion soms in total.
"6 projects for 1 billion soms are carried out from January to November 2023. Start of another 5 projects for 1.5 billion soms is expected before the end of hte year. 55 agreements on projects in the Bishkek free economic zone for 1.5 billion soms were signed for 11 months," Jalyn Jeenaliev added.
