Village police station inaugurated in Sogment village near Kyrgyz-Uzbek border

AKIPRESS.COM - A village police station was opened in Sogment village, Batken district, Turmush reported.

This station will help villagers living in mountainous parts, Batken district police chief Almazbek Shagamurzaev said.

The local authorities provided a land plot for construction of a 2-room police station. It was built with support of local authorities, villagers and local sponsors.

Sogment village, Kyshtut rural municipality, borders with the village of Ushar, Sokh district of Uzbekistan. Cattle crossed the border between two countries, which was a problem.

The given police station will control public order and serve around 3,000 population with the purpose of prevention of conflicts between two countries.
