AKIPRESS.COM - The 17th Asian Financial Forum took place in Hong Kong on January 24-25. Governor of the Bank of Mongolia Lhagvasuren Byadran participated as a guest speaker, Montsame reports.
The forum themed "Multilateral Cooperation for a Shared Tomorrow" brought together 3,000 finance and business delegates.
In his presentation at the plenary session Policy Dialogue - Towards International Economic and Financial Cooperation, Governor Lhagvasuren highlighted the conditions and opportunities created within the legal framework to attract investment in the financial sector, and the development of fintech and green financing in Mongolia.
The session discussed how to maintain financial system stability amidst changes in monetary policies, fluctuations in commodity prices, and frequent extreme weather events.
The guest speakers were Member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank Burkhard Balz, Governor of the Central Bank of Mongolia Lkhagvasuren Byadran, Deputy Director of the Asia and Pacific Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Thomas Helbling, Chief Executive of the Dubai Financial Services Authority Ian Johnston, and Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Scott Morris. They exchanged insights on issues such as how to respond to global financial crises through multilateral cooperation.
The Governor of the Bank of Mongolia met high officials of the government of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and representatives from Mirae Asset financial group, reported the Bank of Mongolia.
