Kyrgyz firefighter shares one case from his practice that he can never forget

AKIPRESS.COM - Baisal Aspek uulu, 33, is the senior officer of the Civil Defense Department of the Fire and Rescue Management No. 27 in the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region.

"In 2012, I started working as a firefighter-rescuer. In the same year, I began working as a driver of special equipment for firefighting. Five years later, I was appointed as an officer of the Civil Defense Department of the Issyk-Ata District Fire and Rescue Management. Since 2023, I have been the senior officer. My military rank is captain," he shared.

He shared a memorable story from his practice: "Our work is associated with emergencies: drownings, traffic accidents, fires, etc. I can't forget one case. Information came in about the disappearance of a 3-year-old girl. The area where she disappeared was mountainous, with a nearby reservoir, so we involved divers. The police officers checked every house in the area. We spent a day searching for the girl. We stood on a hill near the reservoir and saw geese below. Among them was something red that appeared and disappeared. We immediately went there and saw the girl we were looking for. She was walking among the geese. We were very happy that the girl was fine. Many thought she had drowned. Parents need to keep a close eye on small children to ensure their safety."
