AKIPRESS.COM - The accident occurred in the old part of the Bishkek combined heat and power plant, which has not undergone modernization, Deputy Minister of Energy Nasipbek Kerimov said.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred in the boiler house on the boiler #14.

At around 3:00 am of February 2 the explosion occurred at the Bishkek combined heat and power plant. Five were injured. Hot water and heat supply is limited in the city. 

Schools swtiched to online classes, kindergartens are closed due to disruptions in heat supply.
