President of Mongolia meets with Russian Deputy PM

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa received Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk, Montsame reported.

The President of Mongolia emphasized that the strategic partnership between the two states is developing and noted the need to advance trade and economic cooperation. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa mentioned his meeting with the Rusian President during the Belt and Road meeting in Beijing in October 2023, at which they agreed to reduce trade taxes and jointly implement major development projects and programs in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister A. Overchuk noted that the agreements reached during the meetings of the heads of state and Prime Ministers of the two countries in 2023 are being implemented and the cooperation in energy, infrastructure, education, and humanitarian sectors is expanding.

The parties agreed that the events to be organized during the 75th anniversary of the Ulaanbaatar Railway Mongolian-Russian Joint Venture and the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Khalkhiin Gol Victory will contribute to the strengthening of relations.
