AKIPRESS.COM - The 2024 Asian Weightlifting Championships ended in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on February 10. Otgonchimeg Tugs-Erdene took the third place in snatch in the women's 71 kg category.

Otgonchimeg Tugs-Erdene, a World Championships Bronze Medalist and an Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist, secured her first medal from the Championships in adults category.

9 Asian records and 8 world records were set at the Championships.

The best athlete among men was Rahmat Erwin Abdullah from Indonesia, the best athlete among women was Ri Song-gum from the DPRK.
