Meredov and Deputy Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Gauri Singh held a meeting on February 12 as part of the participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the World Governments Summit (WGS 2024), the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

The parties emphasized that Turkmenistan interacts with UNDP, UNIDO and UNEP in the field of development of renewable energy.

Discussing expansion of cooperation, the sides exchanged views on the possibilities of opening a national IRENA office in Turkmenistan.
