
AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia had lost 667,841 head of livestock as of February 18, GoGo reported on Monday, citing the country's National Emergency Management Agency.
The highest rates of livestock deaths were recorded in the Mongolian provinces of Khentii, Sukhbaatar and Dornogovi.
Currently, livestock breeding remains one of the main sectors of the Mongolian economy, as well as a source of income for almost 40% of the country's nomadic population.
