Foreign Ministers of China and Mongolia hold meeting

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi met with Foreign Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on February 16, the Foreign Ministry of China reported.

Wang Yi said that China and Mongolia are good neighbors and partners linked by mountains and rivers. President Xi Jinping and President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh have reached important common understandings in relations between the two countries and Belt and Road cooperation, charting the course for further development.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Mongolia diplomatic relations, the 30th anniversary of the revision of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation, and the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership.

China appreciates that Mongolia has placed the development of its relations with China as a priority in its diplomacy, and is ready to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Mongolia, deepen exchanges of experience on state governance, and fully tap the potential for cooperation, so as to promote the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level and achieve common development and prosperity, Wang Yi noted.

Battsetseg Batmunkh said that Mongolia cherishes its friendship with China and is ready to strengthen high-level exchanges, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and push for more achievements in bilateral relations.
