
AKIPRESS.COM - A group of extreme skiers from Czechia were caught in an avalanche in Jyrgalan area, Issyk-Kul region, four died.
All dead are Czech citizens. The group arrived in Kyrgyzstan for skiing.
Issyk-Kul region police said 23 Czech traveled to Kyrgyzstan for skiing. They stayed in a local hotel. On February 25, at 9:00 am they went to the mountains for skiing. When they were going down the mountain, the snow avalanche descended. The avalanche trapped all 23 foreigners. 19 pulled each other from snow masses. Four remained under the avalanche.
