Life in rural Kyrgyzstan: Bus driver from Uzbekistan provides free rides for schoolchildren in Kadamjai district

AKIPRESS.COM - A bus driver from Uzbekistan provides free rides for schoolchildren in Kadamjai district of Batken region.

Salokhiddin Khalilov, a citizen of Uzbekistan operating on the route Shahimardan (Uzbekistani enclave) - Vuadil (a settlement, the administrative center of Fergana district of Fergana region of Uzbekistan), transports 20-30 students daily from the settlements of Kyrgyzstan. The distance to the school is about 2.5-3 km.

Children from the village of Kyzyl-Bulak, bordering Shahimardan enclave, attend the secondary school No. 4 named after Koksal Toptan.

According to the school principal Abdilaziz Sarymsakov, the bus passes through the village of Kyzyl-Bulak, and on the way, the driver picks up all the schoolchildren. "Bus driver Salokhiddin Khalilov received a Certificate of Appreciation from our school. He is grateful that his work has been appreciated. On the stretch from the village to the school, which is more than 2.5 km, he stops and picks up every child. In this way, about 30 children can travel to school for free. We are very pleased that there are such people. Classes at the school start at 08:30, and the children on the bus arrive at 08:20," he said.

The Koksal Toptan School is designed for 400 students and currently, 560 children are studying there.
