AKIPRESS.COM - The Egyptian company Arab Nihol Investors is interested in the construction of a $100 million tourist complex in the Samarkand region, Kun.uz reported.
At a meeting with the founder of the Uzbek-Egyptian joint venture Arab Nihol Investors, entrepreneur Ahmed Zeidan at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Cairo, the implementation of a tourist complex project on an area of 42 hectares in the Urgut district was discussed.
The investment project is planned to be implemented in three stages: in the first, a cable car will be built worth $18 million, in the second – a hotel for $32 million, in the third – a spa for $50 million.
As a result, 500 permanent jobs are expected to be created. To fully implement the project, another 1,000 hectares of land will be required. It is planned to attract foreign investors, including from Egypt and Oman.
