AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Road and Transportation Development S.Byambatsogt and UK Ambassador Fiona Blyth signed the Agreement between the governments of Mongolia and the UK concerning air services on January 23, GoGo reported.
The agreement was approved officially at the cabinet meeting on March 21. As a result, in addition to direct flights between the two countries, it is possible to fly through Europe and Central Asia.
Mongolia is able to offer direct flights to 155 destinations in 44 countries. New flight agreements will be concluded with Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Spain, Latvia, and Azerbaijan in 2024. Air traffic agreements with Australia, Iran and Indonesia are also planned.
Furthermore, direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Novosibirsk, Russia, and Erlian, China will be launched soon.
Currently, "MIAT" SOSC has been appointed to operate passenger flights from Mongolia to London, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and "Eznis Airways" LLC has been appointed to operate cargo flights.
