On January 26, the State National Security Committee put Deputy Chairman of State Customs Service Matraimov on wanted list. He was accused of being accessory to restriction of freedom of movement of a person.

On March 23, it became known that Matraimov was in Baku. The National Security Committee sent extradition request to the authorities of Azerbaijan.

On March 23, the National Security Committee detained members of the criminal group from Azerbaijan in Bishkek. According to the special service, they plotted attack on leadership of Kyrgyzstan. The National Security Committee established connection of Matraimov with detained criminals.
