PM of South Korea hopes Economic Partnership Agreement with Mongolia to be adopted soon

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Duk-soo met with his Mongolian colleague Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai in Seoul on Monday. Han Duk-soo expressed hope that the two countries will adopt the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) as soon as possible.

The Korean PM also expressed hope that the agreement, which is currently being negotiated, will strengthen the basis of bilateral economic cooperation.

Noting that trade between South Korea and Mongolia totaled $540 million last year, Han Duk-soo said he expects the two countries to further expand bilateral trade and investment.

Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai stated that Mongolia plans to intensify cooperation with South Korea, which he called a key partner for economic cooperation in the region.

Han Duk-soo conveyed words of consolation to Mongolia in connection with the ongoing dzud. The Mongolian Prime Minister said that the Korean humanitarian aid has provided significant support to the Mongolian people.
