AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia and Thuringia, Germany, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement a pilot project on providing dual vocational training and career guidance for Mongolian youth in Thuringia on April 8, Montsame reports.
The project will leverage the experience of German partners, the Erfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EKHW) and the Thuringia Vocational Training Institute (FAV). By factoring in Mongolian data, specific characteristics, and the current skilled labor gap, the initiative will provide personalized career counseling to young people.
The project will encompass comprehensive informational resources for young people, parents, guardians, and the broader public. It will showcase a range of vocational options and provide pre-vocational guidance. Additionally, the MoU facilitates cooperation in targeted professional selection, the development of a skilled workforce, and the delivery of high-quality career counseling services.
The project aims to provide Mongolian youth with increased competitiveness in the vocational and technical education and training arena, as well as within the labor market. It will also equip young Mongolians with effective vocational guidance, contribute to a reduction in youth unemployment, improve future planning among young people, and mitigate potential social risks.
