Magnitude 3.5 quake jolts Batken region

AKIPRESS.COM - The magnitude 3.5 earthquake in the epicenter occurred in Batken region at 4:39 am on May 20, the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 2 km to the south-west of Mekhantabad village, 10 km to the south-east of Uch-Dobo village, 18 km the south-west of Samarkandek village, 34 km to the south-east of Leilek village.

According to the Seismology Institute, the earth tremors were felt as 3 scores in Samarkandek village and 2.5 scores in Leilek.
