
AKIPRESS.COM - The city of Khiva in Uzbekistan will host the 12th session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers from May 31 to June 2.
The ancient archaeological city known for its rich history and vibrant culture will also host events in connection with its declaration the tourist capital of the Islamic world in 2024.
Khiva is one of the most ancient cities in the Khiva region, with a history dating back more than 2,500 years. It is famous for its medieval fortress Ichan-Kala, which has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1990.
