AKIPRESS.COM - The African Water Forum was held in Dushanbe within the framework of the Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan said.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farrukh Sharifzoda delivered a speech and noted that "Tajikistan is ready to cooperate with African countries, the African Ministers' Council on Water and other specialized institutions of the African continent to address global water issues".
The Forum was convened by the African Union Commission, the African Ministers' Council on Water, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Senegal to discuss progress in implementing the African Common Position and its key implications for the UN Water Policy.
